Stay
Last week we visited the Hudson Valley for the first time. I can’t believe how long it took for me to get there. Such a nice mix of nature, design, and a slower pace. We stayed at upstatestonehouse for a few days. The owner restored this house built in 1762 in Catskill, NY. Every moment is beautiful.
Shop
We explored Warren Street in Hudson. So many cute shops and restaurants. A few favorited I stopped in: Shaina Motte, Clove & Creek, Finch, Face Stockholm, Westerlind, Freaks, Rebus Kid’s Shop. I saw my friend, Baskets for Breakfast, handmade baskets in one of the shops there. Lovely!
Work
When I mapped the drive from Hudson to Maine, our next USA summer stop, I realized we would be driving right by 45 White Oak, a project we have been working on with Of Possible and NS Builders in Wellesley, Massachusetts. It was so neat to see their vision come to life and be able to pop in with my family to see it in person. My camera roll is filled with beautiful architectural moments and our decorative accessories are all over the house.
Tradition
A shot of my daughter blueberry picking in Maine. We are here for the next few weeks visiting family. We have been coming here my entire life, and Maine will always hold a special place in my heart. There is nothing I love more than a brisk summer morning in Maine. Cue the blueberry pancakes, lobster rolls, and fog.
Stage
I cant believe it but my baby girl is six months. She is laughing, smiling, rolling, and just starting solids. I am back to my old BS, roasting veggies and making random concoctions for her to eat. Last night was blended olives, yum right? My older kids told me last week “It is so nice to have a baby in the house.” Cue the tear. I couldn’t agree more.
I hope you are having a great summer!
With Love,
Devon
