Something About September
Misty mornings and new beginnings
It’s been years since I’ve been a student, but something about September always feels like the start of a school year. A fresh beginning, a new take on a tired perspective. September renews my interest in baking, getting dressed, and warm drinks—there’s something about the air tinged with crispness that just does it for me.
To accommodate for the changing season and declining temps, I lean heavily into layers. Airy button downs with a sweater around my shoulders, light jackets with khaki pants. Jeans begin to reemerge as do boots and coats in limited rotation.
Pears, taupes, and dusty blues echo the changing landscape.
My September favorites include:
This Amlul dress (just perfect for fall)
My favorite neutral nail polish
A chic cropped jacket from Nanushka
The most gorgeous tote by Metier
This soft blue sweater from Jenni Kayne
Slate blue mary janes from Le Monde Beryl
A silk blouse from The Frankie Shop
With love,
Devon
