Mother's Day Brunch
Recipes from my kitchen
Mother’s Day is around the corner, so naturally we’re busy prepping some fun activities. And, I don’t know about you, but I am planning a robe-until-noon type of morning. For my last birthday, we did a very hands-on family brunch, the type where every bowl in the kitchen is used and there is flour everywhere. Everyone picked a dish, and we all cooked it simultaneously. Somewhere between wholesome family memory and fully self-inflicted chaos. And, I plan to willingly re-create that this weekend!
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and there are many recipes I love, but a foolproof and easy option is a tart, especially when little hands are in the mix. We may change up the toppings a bit this time around, but the recipe is for a zucchini tart. It’s flaky and savory, and if you buy your puff pastry (like I almost always do), it comes together in minutes.
The last time I made this, it was a crowd favorite!
I’m dropping the recipe below, just in case it piques your interest.
Since this is a full-on robe brunch, we will be wearing an oversized robe, a stretchy-waist loungewear situation, and a pair of house shoes.
I’m popping a few favorites below in case you’re in need of some inspo (for yourself or someone else in your life!). And for good measure,I tossed a vase in here for the flowers I plan to heavily hint at on Saturday!
Happy Mother’s Day!
Devon
